Fellowship of the Unashamed

So tonight I was reading a book "One thing you can't do in Heaven" by Mark Cahill, and in the book I found this i guess you would call it a poem, or article. Anyways I've seen it before, and thought I would post it. Here it is.

Fellowship of the Unashamed

"I am part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed." The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.

My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I won't give up, back up, let up or shut up, until I've preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up, and stayed up for the cause of Christ. I must go until He returns, give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He comes to get His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My colors will be clear. "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ." Romans 1:16

A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23

"We may rest assured that He will never expect us or ask us to face more than we can stand(1Cor 10:13) But what He does expose us to will strengthen and fortify our faith and confidence in His control." ~ W. Phillip Keller, in A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23

Don't give up! Keep on!

"God gives us a vision and then He takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of the vision, and it is in the valley that so many of us faint and give way."- Oswald Chambers

A walk.

Sooooooo I went on a walk and watched the sunset today...and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I also had the chance to think alot about some things that were on my mind...And i was reminded that, God's in control and allows EVERYTHING for a reason, even when we don't understand.... It was very nice! :)

I know that was short..but it was something! ;)

The Power Of Prayer!

Someone has said if Christians and Jews really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during WWII there was an adviser to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace?

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Please forward this to your praying friends.

I got this in an email fwd today, idk how exactly true it is, but i know you can never go wrong with prayer! And just think of what could happen in this nation, if everyone who's read this, prays. Amazing possibilities! So it can't hurt to try it! :)

Please share this with your praying friends! :)

God Bless!

Ephesians 6:18
" Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Philippians 4:6
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

Romans 8:28& 31-39

Romans 8:28 & 31-39

28"And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

31"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth:
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that love us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, not life, not angels, nor principalities, not powers, nor things present, not things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, not any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Good Friday

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
-Romans 5:8

Calvary's Love

"Calvary's love will sail forever,
Bright and shining, strong and free,
Like an ark of peace and safety
On the sea of human need

Through the hours of all the ages
Those tired of sailing on their own,
Finally rest inside the shadow, Cast
by Calvary's love across their souls.

Calvary's love, Calvary's love
Priceless gift Christ makes us
worthy of; The deepest sin can't
rise above Calvary's love

Calvary's love can heal the Spirit
Life has crushed and cast aside,
And redeem 'til Heaven's promise
Fillls with joy once empty eyes.

So desire to tell His story,
Of Love that loved enough to die
Burns away all other passions
And fed by Calvary's love
becomes a fire.

Calvary's love, Calvary's love
Priceless gift Christ makes us
worthy of; The deepest sin can't
rise above Calvary's love

Calvary's love has never faltered.
All its wonders still remain.
Souls still take eternal passage,
Sins atoned and heaven gained.

Reckless Abadonment

"I have but one desire now- to live a life of reckless abandon for my Lord, putting all my energy and strength into it."-Ed McCully

Reckless-marked by boldness, disregard of possible consequences or danger, adventuresome, brave,
not easily influenced as a person

Abandon-to yield (oneself), forsake, to leave completely, surrender,a voluntary decision to give something one would prefer to keep.

Romans 12:1-2
"I beseech you therefore brethren,by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Slow Dance

This is something some ppl emailed me 2day & i really like it!! SO I thought i'd post it! Enjoy! :)

Slow Dance
"Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain, slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the Sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music wont last.

Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask how are you do you hear the reply?
When the day is done do you lie in your bed,
with the next hundred chores running through your head?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Have you ever told your child,
we'll do it tomorrow?
and in your haste not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
let a good friendship die,
cause you never had time,
to call and say 'hi'?
You'd better slow down.
Dont dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere,
you miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
it is like an unopened gift......
thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower,
hear the music,
before the song is over."

Cherish & be thank for every moment God gives you, friends, family,..don't take it for granted...cuz you never know what 2moro might brings......

God Bless

Sunday 03-14-10

Yesterday was really an amazing day!!! We went to the nursing home in between services, I was in Candace's group, as usual! :) The group was, Me, Candy, Ben, Jen, Elizabeth, Dianna, & Melanie. We sang to more ppl than usual. Which was great!

One thing that stood out was that one of the residents, we've met her before...She quoted Romans 12:1-2 "I bessech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." and I just thought that was kinda encouraging. :)

Anyways On the way to church, in the van Jen & Me started singing some songs, all goofy like. It was SO fun! lol! :)

Afternoon service...it was a really great message, very convicting also, and it really made you think. Bro. Joe preached. The title of the message was "Walking with Wise Men" one of the main verse he used was Proverbs 13:20 " He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

I'll try to sum up what I got out of the message, it's hard to do sometimes but..anyways. I'm just have this new gratitude for all the wise godly people that God has blessed me with, and put in my life, and to start really learning from them, and to separate myself from the "fools" & the world. Even if it does mean standing alone. Which will have to be done. Bro. Joe said it won't always be easy, but you have to despise the shame before you can stand alone.

Because the decisions I make now at this time in my life, whether I choose to keep my focus on God or to go the way of the world, these decisions will affect the REST of my life. I don't want to be teetering from side to side. But to stand for what's right, and keep my focus completely on the Lord!! Even if it does mean standing alone, which will have to be done at times, and won't always be easy..... Just to use my time more wisely also.. It has me thinking alot.... Well Chruch got out around 6:00..only cuz the time change.

Then after church it was playtime. Which was alot of fun!! :) Rebekah & I matched. Then I went with Melanie and Dianna, to the playground at picnic table where Mel B. & Rachel were, cause they were trying to connect to Stephen on Skype, so that everyone could say hi to him...but that took AWHILE!!

SOO in the mean time, Dianna and I walked around the tree at the playground, we were bored. ;) Then we just went walking and talking around the church property, we talked about different things, one of them was school. :) We found Melanie & Bethany, they both joined us, then Mr.Muldrow told us that Mel & Rach were in the office trying to get connected so we went in there, it still took a while..we waited looked at different tracts on the table. Bethany finally left to go play volleyball, because they had to leave soon.

Then FINALLY, we got connected with Stephen on Skype...all of us(me, Mel, Rach, Dianna, Melanie, & Mr.Muldrow) said hi, then Mel & Mr.Muldrow did most the talking, actually Stephen did, telling what he had been doing in Mexico. Then Gabby the daughter of the missionary fam he's staying with, came and said hi. Let me tell ya she was SO cute!! :) He was doing good, couldn't talk long tho because it was about to be dinner time. We said our goodbyes, and such.

Melanie, Dianna & I went and played volleyball, Rach & Mel came a little later. We got a real game going after while, it was fun too! :)

We didn't go to Taco Bell this week. :-/ Oh well tho. Melanie, Dianna, Me, Kristin, Rachel, Julie, & Mandi did talk for a little bit out in the parking lot. The convo's we had were kinda funny! ;) lol! That's about how that really happened. It was a REALLY GREAT DAY!!!! :)

p.s I am VERY sorry that I didn't take ANY pictures! ;(

Goodnight, ppls! ;)

"My Tribute"

This is a song that I really like....so I just thought I'd share it! :)

My Tribute

"How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me,
Things so undeserved ,yet You give to prove Your love to me?
The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.
All that I and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee.

Chorus
To God be the glory, To God be the glory; To God be the glory for the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me; With His pow'r He has raised me;
To God be the glory For the He has done.

Just let me live my life; Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee.
And should I gain any praise, Let it go to Calvary.

Chorus
With His blood He has saved me; With His pow'r He has raised me;
to God be the glory For the things He has done.

Sunday!

Well today was Sunday!! I was waiting and waiting all week long for it to come!! Sunday's are just sooooo AWESOME!!!! We weren't able to get there till lunch that was kinda a bummer.... So I went put my stuff in the bathroom & visited for a lil bit! Then...I went to the music session thingy, and that lasted about an 1hr & 10mins something like that!

I was supposed to have nursery...but there were no kids!! And I'm actually really glad that I was able to be in the service!! Joe preached a GREAT message!!!! It really convicted me in some areas! The main point of the message and what really convicted me was that God isn't after a life of sacrifices..but a obedient& surrendered heart! And that if we choose not to obey are parents, authority's or anyone we're actually disobeying God!

And what God ultimately wants is a obedient & surrendered heart!

So that's what really convicted me...having a obedient & totally surrendered heart. So I decided to to just surrender my heart & life to God,having a heart of obedience, and having no will of my own! And just to abandon myself to Jesus Christ! I loved the invitation song "Take My Life, And Let It Be" It was very fitting for the message!

Well the last thought that I'm going to leave you with is that We can all surrender! And by His grace we can give ourselves to Him!!And that if you have not trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior then I encourage you to do so today! Because you don't know if you'll have tomorrow to! And then 2 verses that most of us have heard a lot..but today it just really stood out to me more & convicted me!

Romans 12:1-2
" I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

I hope this encouraged you as much as it did me!

I'll probably post about playtime tomorrow or something, cause it's getting kinda late & well I'm tired!! So Ttyl! God Bless!
